Getting Serious About Blogging
Jonathan and Juli woke up early to see what the easter basket brought them! Here they are looking all bleary eyed!
Here they are at church. Juli has a Tinkerbell-ish kind of dress on, but you can't tell because she insisted on buttoning her sweater all of the way up. Jonathan found the blue stuffed monkey on the easter egg hunt. He called it an electric fighting machine. We just smiled and nodded. He definitely has an active imagination!
This weekend we had visitors from out of town: John's parents. We've not seen them in almost two years, so this was a very stressful event. Things went really well, so I'm glad about that, and we also got to see John's cousin Katie (she calls us aunt and uncle, which is cool). We had a great visit with her, and Juli especially loved spending time with another girl.
Katie and Jonathan got along pretty well, but she was pretty confused by his "all boy" behavior.
Okay, I hate having pictures taken of me, much less posting them, but this was such a rare event (the two of us actually being willing to have our picture taken), that I couldn't resist.
Here are me and my girls. Juli and I are really going to miss Katie.
This is a picture of my husband's parents with all of the children.
So, after our work week this week, we have Jonathan's birthday party on Saturday, and we'll hopefully have some guests this weekend as well.
More to come!!

Well, we survived the move, Christmas, and the New Year.. but just barely. We've gotten everything pretty much set at the new house, and it is wonderful!! We were sick all through Christmas, so that was unfortunate. But, we had visitors for New Year's, and it was much better. Anyway, I thought I'd post some Pics, and I'll blog longer later.

Here are Jonathan and Juli as their favorite Teen Titans characters, Robin and Raven.

Christmas Morning
Juli got a Bride Barbie for Christmas, and here's her impression. In case you're wondering, that "veil" is actually a hooded towel.
I hope everyone has had a lovely New Year!!

1. My greatest wish as a child, and even now, is that I had a sibling. This is also why I agreed to have a child only if there would be another child following soon behind. Lucky for me that I have two friends who've adopted me and vice versa. Amber has been like a sister to me for almost 25 years.. why let a little DNA stand in the way of a dream?
2. I hate to cry over real, personal issues. However, I cry probably daily at TV shows and movies. It 's either really pathetic or very cathartic -- possibly both. So, don't expect me to cry at what hurts me, but if I'm waching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, you might as well pull out the tissues.
3. Once you've claimed me as a friend, you're pretty much stuck with me. I'm like a leech that way.
4. I love books - almost any kind of books. I read during pretty much any down time I have. I have varied taste, but prefer "supernatural" themed novels. I'm just now getting to the point where I can read literature again. I have an English Degree, and I was sick of that stuff for a really long time (I just can't get over my hatred of Faulkner... what was Oprah thinking with that book club selection?).
5. I'm a betta mommy! I love betta fish and I have a tankful of 6 week old babies. They're doing well... I'll keep you updated!!
6. Out of all household chores, I hate doing dishes the most. I would rather clean toilets than do dishes. Thank you, God, for dishwashers!
This is really sad, but I don't have anybody to tag yet. So, if you are reading this and haven't posted yours yet, consider yourself tagged!!
